The leaders of The Chapel have vision projects for the future.
Want to help make a lasting impact for Christ? The following projects don't have any recurring or staff costs. They are one-time expenses to make our facilities better to reach people for Christ. Read on and get a vision for the possibilities of the future of ministry.
Want to help? Contact Hal Webb, Treasurer or David Fletcher, Executive Pastor.
Years ago kids were safe, especially at church. But we now have the challenges of divorced parents in custody battles, even possible abduction of our kids, and other potential problems. Who would have ever thought! Well, we have to meet this challenge with increased safety for our children's areas. We will be adding volunteers, computers to check-in kids, walls and doors. We haven't had a problem to date, and we don't plan to. First year costs for this are $50,000 and the second year is $250,000.
Have you noticed that the volume seems loud in Green? The problem is not that the volume control is too high. The problem is that the room enhances some frequencies and deadens others. The result is that our technicians have a nearly impossible job to give us good quality sound. We need to bring in acoustic experts, install new acoustic panels and new speakers. Total cost will be $250,000.
Dale Saylor has plans! Did you know that we have over 10,000 people a year involved in our sports ministries? He foresees a open air place where groups can meet without the sun and rain upon them. A place where gospel messages can be shared to groups after a sports event. Estimates for this pavilion are $28,000.
This is a four-year plan to create a new atrium and foyer for the Akron Campus. The campus needs a place where kids can meet their parents, friends can talk together and seniors can visit with peers. To meet the needs of parents, kids and grandparents in the future, this will need four to five million dollars—a large amount but we want to reach many with the gospel of Christ!
God has given us so much. We want to be people who respond to the many gifts that God has given to us, personal, financial and spiritual. Listen to two of our members talk about generous living:
