Welcome!

You're invited to join us for a Sunday service to experience for yourself what The Chapel is about. We would like to greet you personally and answer any questions you may have. We realize that coming to a new church can be a bit overwhelming, so we would like to invite you to relax. Know that you’re among people who serve a God of grace and love and who want to help you experience that!

We offer powerful weekly God-experiences in multiple unique settings. You’ll find excellent and exciting kids’ programming during all worship times including youth programming at our 9:00 am hour.

For Your First Visit

Choose a Campus and a Worship Service

We have two campuses and six worship services—soon to be seven! Those attending the Akron Campus are encouraged to park in the University of Akron parking deck which is directly across Buchtel Avenue from the campus. Green Campus offers ample, obvious parking on-site surrounding the campus.

Drop Off Your Kids

If you have children, we have great programs designed to be a positive experience for them. Children (birth–grade 6), drop them off at our Kids area before the service. For your teen, check out our youth pages for Middle School & High School info.

Our hosts at the welcome centers or greeters by the doors will be happy to direct you to the kids and youth areas.
We suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes before worship begins so that you have an easy time finding your way around the campus.

Come to Worship

There will be announcements at the beginning of the service. You are invited to connect with someone from our Guest Connections team after the service and they will be happy to answer any questions. We'd appreciate your contact info so we can invite you to events designed for newcomers.
Singing is part of the worship experience. If you don't know the words to the songs or would rather not sing, no problem. If all of this is kind of new to you, don't worry. We have lots of guests who don't have much church experience. We're just glad to have you!
A pastor from our preaching team will present a message. The Bible is always the foundation for the sermon as we believe it has the answers to life's biggest questions.

After the Service

Join us at Guest Connections in Akron or welcome centers in Green. Meet a campus pastor and campus hosts. They will answer questions, pray with you, or just chat.
If you have a need and want to pray with one of our leaders, come to the front of the Worship Center after the service. We're here to encourage and pray for you.
